Having had a successful morning at T.Y. Park with Stefan and Wally George (see Stefan's posting), I thought I'd try my luck this afternoon at BNP and locate Barney, the Purple Sandpiper. "Not today" I could've sworn I heard a pelican say. I searched the area from 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm, closing time. Soon it would be low tide, but I ran out of time, light, and luck. Maybe I'll give it another try tomorrow in the morning, providing I have such a luxury.
