Hi! I dropped by Cutler Wetlands this a.m. I saw three American Avocets, all close to the road in the water at the end of SW 224 St.. I noted four female Northern Shovelers(they were not seen on my way back.) A flock of Dowitchers were present as well as birds you would expect;an Osprey,Little Blue Heron, Great Egret,Boat-tailed Grackles,Red-winged Blackbirds,a Great-blue Heron, many Killdeer,Black-necked Stilts,Common Moorhens,American Coots and White Ibis. Other ducks were the Blue-winged Teal(female) and the Mottled Ducks. Three Black Terns were foraging or sitting among the Dowitchers(could of been more than three.) There were a number of Glossy Ibis and a large flock of gulls.
