Missed the tanager at Barnes on Labor Day but did see the immature Cooper's Hawk, 8 species of warbler including Worm-eating and a Least Flycatcher in the grassy opening south of the double gate at the elevated boardwalk. I was sallying back and forth from the Florida Tremas. The bird has no neck, is mostly gray above, only showing olive in the pit of the back and the is mostly white below. Did not notice the primary extensions. Life is good.....now, if I could only hear a flycatcher whistle quick-three-beers.
