If you (or your family) doesn't want to shell-out "big bucks" for Stevenson & Anderson's _The Birdlife of Florida_, you may be able to read it on-line for free any time you want and for as long as you want. Go to your local public library. Mine is the Collier County Library. Ask them if they have the NetLibrary Service available to their patrons. If so, after you physically go to your local library and register for this service (at least that's how it works in Collier County), you can then access netbooks from the convenience of your home computer any time afterward by simply going to http://www.netlibrary.com/ and logging in with the same user name and password that you used when you signed-on to NetLibrary at your local branch. Once signed in, you can then do a search for _The Birdlife of Florida_ and depending on your particular branch, have access to this book any time 24-7. There are no fines for overdue books and it's always there!
I am not sure if your library has the same ebooks as my Collier County branch does. Thus, they may not have _The Birdlife of Florida_ available even if you sign-up for NetBooks. I think the Library of Congress does, however but I haven't checked this site in a long time. perhaps others might have more to add. Anyway, it's worth a shot!

Good luck!
