Not many shorebirds this week. The first bridge at Brown's Farm road is dry. There were a few uppies in a sod field on the south side between Brown's Farm and Roth Sod. Roth Sod (Gladeview Rd) is largely planted in cane, but about 2 miles in is a field that was probably nicely flooded (is this where the phalaropes were?) last week. Today it had a little water, enough to keep the Gull-billed and Black Terns happy. There were also Yellowlegs, Stilt Sandpipers,Least,Semipalm. Plover, etc. Most of the birds were Wood Storks and Egrets. Two Palm Beach birders had gone to Duda today and reported plenty of shorebirds, but nothing unusual.
Maybe this week's rains will wet things up for next weekend.
STA1w was an empty expanse of water. There was one sauropod, but at scope range. I don't have a scope.
