The Annex area and Long Pine Key had six species of warbler including both waterthrushes. There were as least two Alder Flycatchers. Long Pine key had lots of young Pine Warblers and Eastern Bluebirds. The best bird was an Eastern Wood-Pewee. Eastern Kingbird and a few Common Nighthawk were around as well as the usual species including Brown-headed Nuthatch.

This is about my 12th-time birding Long Pine Key since mid-July. I have yet to see or hear any Western Spindalis. The small bushes and trees are finally getting some fruit. They have fruited later this year than last. Perhaps when more fruit ripens, the Western Spindalis may be easier to find.
