Anyone going to the keys might want to check out mile marker 87 on the
bayside. There is a new park called I believe "Islamorada Village of
Islands". Look on the right side of the road going down the keys, for a
Monroe County Sheriff's building and turn right here. The park entrance
area is here, it is very expensive to enter for non residents: $6.00
per person! On the right side of the entrance road is a large area of
new grass, this had many, many birds here 7 or 8 Shiny Cowbirds, 1
Pectoral Sandpiper, many White Ibis, lots of Barn Swallows and Laughing
Gulls. The Shiny Cowbirds were, 4 adult males, 1 immature male, mostly
brown with some black coming in on the wings, the rest were females.
These were feeding on the grass as a group and with Starlings. This
grassy area may be good for other shorebirds, Uplands, Buff-breasted
etc.

Chris Borg, this is not far from you.
