Saw several flights of Black Scoters, all headed south, off Jensen Beach (Hutchinson Island) over Thanksgiving weekend. They'd shoot by regularly about every half hour. Also on hand were many Northern Gannets doing high dives, as well as a couple of Jaegers (too far out to tell which kind) harassing Laughing Gulls that were picking up scraps from a group of feeding dolphins. Also saw dolphins leaping nearly clear of the heavy chop in the Indian River. No White-Winged Scoters this time, but I did have them off Jensen Beach the previous weekend (see earlier posting).
