It has been a while since I have posted on the site here. Some of you said I should post from time to time when I moved back to Washington State so I thought today might be a good day. It was a spectacular shorebirds, 20 different species. For those familiar with the Washington Coast, I went to Ocean Shores, Midway Beach and Tokeland. The list for the day is as follows:
1. Willet
2. Wimbrel
3. Hudsonian Godwit
4. Marbled Godwit
5. Long-Billed Dowicher
6. Short-Billed Dowicher
7 Greater Yellowlegs
8 Lesser Yellowlegs
9. Baird's Sandpiper
10. Least Sandpiper
11. Western Sandpiper
12. Pectoral Sandpiper
13. Snowy Plover
14. Semi-palmated Plover
15. Dunlin
16. American Golden Plover
17. Pacific Golden Plover
18. Black-bellied Plover
19. Wandering Tattler
20. And one unknown. sandpiper Best guess Sharp-tailed Sandpiper but it wasn't it.
