I still have trouble with yellowish rump (not mine, the warbler's), which Common Yellowthroat shouldn't have. Adult spring female Common Yellowthroats are described as having "slightly brighter olive on the rump and uppertail coverts." Steve's video seems to show more yellow on the rump, rather than bright olive -- but it's all in perception. Larry's observation on the leg color is a serious consideration. As Jon Dunn likes to say, "Sometimes you have to let it go." I'll step away from the discussion now but look forward to reading all comments.
