Since this is being posted late, I've adjusted the due date.

If you would like to report your Summer (June 1-July 31) bird sightings from SE Florida (Monroe, Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) for possible inclusion in Florida Field Naturalist & North American Birds, now is the time to do so. I will be accepting reports via email through the 20th. The focus of the quarterly report is on rare birds and other interesting sightings (unusual numbers, interesting behavior, etc). If you are unsure whether your sighting qualifies, please send it to me anyway.

Please send your report to me at boydj@fiu.edu.

For summer, reports of early fall migrants are particularly appreciated.

1. Put your list in taxonomic order (Sibley or NGS order is close enough).
2. At a minimum, we need the following information for each sighting: SPECIES, NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS, AGE AND SEX OF THE BIRD (if known), COLOR MORPH (if applicable), LOCATION (including COUNTY), DATE, OBSERVERS.
E.g.: BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER: 1 adult male at West Kendall (Miami-Dade) 17 May (J. Boyd)
3. Please include a description or photo of the bird(s) for significant rarities. A report with both photo and description is preferred.
4. Note that not all reports submitted will appear in FFN or NAB.
5. I prefer if you send the sightings as plain text, but if Word is all you can send, I'll take it.

Thanks for your help.
