The Wetland area south of the Cheikika section of Everglades National Park has water flowing into it again. From Krome ave. take s.w. 168 st. west (I think it's about 6 miles) to a T-intersection. Turn left here and follow the road south until you can only turn left (this is about 3 or 4 miles). Go east about half a mile to s.w. 232 ave., make a right here and go south about 1 mile to a hill in the road. Park here and look to the west. It looks like it should take another 2 weeks or more for the water to kill off all of the vegetation that has grown. Once this happens there will be more water exposed for waterfowl etc. Christine, Philip and I were there on Saturday, we not see anything of note at the wetlands. We did however see a White-tailed Kite in the area and possibly a Lark Sparrow, it flew before we could get a good look.
