How appropriate that on Thanksgiving weekend I finally get to see Wild Turkeys that were reintroduced to the Long Pine Key area of Everglades National Park. Two female turkeys were walking along Research Road this afternoon, and flew into the pineland as my car approached.
In other news, the Vermilion Flycatcher remains at the South Dade Greenway near the entrance to the Park. A Western Kingbird was also present.
