I went south to the farm field just outside ENP to look for shorebirds and found:

150+ Pectoral Sandpipers
2 Least Sandpiper
50+ Killdeer
4 Black-bellied Plover
2 Semi-Palmated Plover
2 Short-billed Dowitcher
1 Solitary flyby in Long Pine Key ( also a Yellow-throated Warbler) - Long Pine Key was very active will all the usual resident birds....Towhee, E. Bluebird, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Pine Warbler, Downy WP, Red-bellied WP, Pileated, Am. Crow, E. Meadowlark and Bobwhite were all either seen or heard. Many Common Nighthawk were roosting in the pines.

At Cutler Wetland:
1 Long-billed Dowitcher
25 Black-necked Stilt
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 Greater Yellowlegs
1 Spotted Sandpiper
8 Killdeer

That's 12 shorebird species.... not bad, but far from a 30 shorebird day! Practicing for August 28th!
