For starters go north on Snake Road through the Seminole Indian Reservation off of Alligator Ally. We used mapquest or try google maps after that. Both give good details and it is best if you have your own print out because the roads are country roads as well as state roads and it is a bit tricky. Mapquest did quite well for us.
It sits about 17 miles from Clewiston and about 16 miles from LaBelle. If you have ever been to Corkscrew Swamp you know how those country roads work. Once you have been there you can find your way back easy. The neat thing is that as soon as you enter Snake Road at Alligator Ally you have bird sightings all the way to DIWMA.....so you can hardly go wrong. And some of the old houses and broken down farm equipment is great for B&W still shots. We even saw a real "roundup" as the Seminoles (about 15 on horseback), were moving a herd from one pasture to another.
What else we got when Toe doesn't invite you for a Pelagic trip?
