Wakodahatchee continues to display the beauty of nature in its avian best. A recent trip produced lesser yellowlegs, tri-color, common egret, moorhens in huge numbers, snowy egret, little blue, purple gallinule, coot, great blues, and mottled ducks. Three wedges of blue wing teal almost knocked us over as they circled the boardwalk and came in to land. But the real charmers are the tiny warblers; pine warbler, palm warblers and this delightful little creature, the blue-gray gnatcatcher. Although many places in the south Florida area sport many birds this site is accesible to physically impaired, and permits photographers to be within easy photoshoot distance.
