King Rail

Have never found it easy to find these birds but on Monday I saw five King Rails and there was certainly more around, calling both nearby and in the distance.

Location was Dinner Island Ranch Wildlife Management Area....go past the signboard welcoming you to the WMA on the right of the road. Keep going until you come to the area where the electricity lines cross the road. The King Rails seem to be hanging around this area.
