Anhinga Trail quiet, Research Road quiet, Flamingo showed only one croc and tons of rain, and surprisingly there were no mosquitos and only a couple of horse/deer flies. Two swallow tail kites at high altitude and the usual red-shouldered hawks along the road. Frequent and heavy rain showers around and about. No people and even the fisher-folk came in early driven by the rain on the Bay. Eco-pond not even worth the stop. But again...no bugs! What gives? So I spent the morning sighting the new telephoto lens in on stop signs, yield signs, one fish crow and a gorgeous drop-dead E.tampensis growing on a oak just past the ENP sign before the Welcome Center.

Otherwise, it was just nice to be in the Park.

Did I say it rained?
