About 5 years ago I spotted a Red-headed Woodpecker at the Town Center in Bonaventure, not trusting my judgement I called Ed Rosenberg (may he rest in peace) he came with a few other birders and we all spotted the bird again. Ed told me that it was a rare find. About a wwek later I saw the bird dead on a road, it had been hit by a car. I picked it up and buried it, it had beautiful white feathers.
