Raising the Tamiami Trail
A Public Meeting will be held tomorrow night Thursday June 24th at 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the South Dade Regional Library 1st floor, 10750 SW 211th St, Cutler Bay.
As many of you know raising the Tamiami Trail is essential to increasing water flow to Everglades National Park and Florida Bay. A new proposal to elevate 5.5 miles of Tamiami Trail is the preferred alternative yielding the highest ecological and economic benefits to South Florida and Everglades s restoration (alternative 6E). Your comments and support, as birders who enjoy our natural areas, will have much influence on the success of Everglades s restoration. It is in all of our interests.
