OKALOOSA COUNTY
On the 7th, an adult GOLDEN EAGLE was seen soaring with Turkey Vultures over the Ft. Walton Beach Spray Fields (B. & L. Duncan). DeLorme p. 44; Pranty p. 52

FRANKLIN COUNTY
On the 14th, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen at the Youth Camp at St. George Island State Park (J. Dozier & J. Murphy). DeLorme p. 61; Pranty p. 61

On the 15th a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen along the wires at Bald Point (J. Dozier). On the 19th, at Bald Point a female VERMILION FLYCATCHER & an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER were seen on the trail leading out to the marsh boardwalk (J. Murphy & all). DeLorme p. 61; Pranty p. 74

WAKULLA COUNTY
At St. Marks NWR a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen along the levee at the south end of Picnic Pond, and a single HENSLOW’S SPARROW was found at the Helispot field (T. Curtis). DeLorme p. 50; Pranty p. 76

LEON COUNTY
On the 17th a male WILSON’S WARBLER was seen at San Luis Park. It was found in the Willows at the beginning of the boardwalk (R. Lengacher). DeLorme p. 50; Pranty p. 69

NASSAU COUNTY
On the 13th a LINCOLN’S SPARROW was found at Drummond Point Park (J. Rink). DeLorme p. 41

DUVAL COUNTY
On the 17th, a FRANKLIN’S GULL was found on Big Bird Island in Nassau Sound (D. & P. Leary). DeLorme p. 58

On the 18th two LONG-BILLED CURLEWS were found at Huguenot Park (B. Ritcher). DeLorme p. 58; Pranty p. 102

VOLUSIA COUNTY
On the 9th a pelagic trip from Ponce Inlet reported the following birds: 2,000 plus CORY’S SHEARWATER, 1 MANX SHEARWATER, 1 PORMARINE & 1 PARASITIC JAEGER, 1 BRIDLED TERN, 1 BROWN NODDY (B. Wallace). DeLorme p. 75

BREVARD COUNTY
On the 21st, at Merritt Island NWR a HENSLOW’S SPARROW & two LINCOLN’S SPARROW were found along Blackpoint Wildlife Drive (D. Freeland). DeLorme p. 81/82; Pranty p. 176

A GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER was seen at Turkey Creek Sanctuary on the 15th (B. & S. Hills). DeLorme p. 88; Pranty p. 181

PASCO COUNTY
On the 17th, three GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLERS were found Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park (K. Tracey). DeLorme p. 82

PINELLAS COUNTY
On the 12th a GREAT WHITE HERON was seen by Kayak in the back parts of Ft. DeSoto Park (L. Snyder). On Sunday 12th, the ELEGANT TERN was seen at East Beach around 11am (D. Powell & J. Bouton). On the 14th a BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO was seen at the Fort Area & on the 15th a PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen in the same area (L. Atherton) DeLorme p. 90; Pranty p. 126

BROWARD COUNTY
On the 19th, five SMOOTH-BILLED ANIS was seen on the fence along the south perimeter road of the Ft. Lauderdale Airport (D. Santoni). DeLorme p. 115; Pranty p. 216

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY
On the 21st a GROOVE-BILLED ANI was found at 232 Marsh Area. The location is as follows: The bird is located at the NW corner of the 332C East detention area. This area is approximately 2.6 miles south of the yellow gate blocking vehicle access to 232nd Avenue, at the intersection of 232nd Ave and 216 St. Just before the detention area, on the east side of 232nd, is an old house that has been overgrown by Burma Reed and Brazilian Pepper. The bird was seen from the house to appx. 50 yards of vegetation between the detention area and 232nd Ave., heading south. The bird was calling repeatedly. SFWMD Homestead Field Office will allow foot traffic & bikes in this area, but NO vehicles please! (D. LaPuma)

On the 19th, a SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen at Luck Hammock. DeLorme p. 122
