Nice flock of at least six Brown-headed Nuthatches were working the pine trees along Research Road. Got great looks at a Short-eared Owl as it flew, then landed on the ground. Other highlights from this morning included:
Swallow-tailed and White-tailed Kite
Red-shouldered Hawk
Eastern Bluebird
White-eyed Vireo
Pine and Prairie Warbler
Northern Bobwhite (heard)
Eastern Towhee
Downy and Red-bellied Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Least Bittern
Carolina Wren (heard)
