I observed an immature Brown Booby at the Boca Raton Inlet yesterday evening @ 5:45pm. It was perched on the Easternmost section of the rock jetty on the North side of the inlet. I first observed the individual flying North about 30 yards off shore, from Deerfield Beach/Boca Raton border along the shore line. I later walked out on the South jetty of the Boca Raton inlet from "South Inlet Park" where I observed the individual across the inlet from about 85 yards away. I then came around from the north and was able to get within 60 yards of the individual from the Boca Raton Beach Club. Also of note at the inlet was a male Magnificent Frigatebird in flight.
