Sorry, I didn't take a picture of it. But I'm familiar with the species, and snake i.d. in general to be very confident.
I had no idea that was their status in south Florida. I've road cruised in northern Florida and found several Farancias e.
The exact location was 1/4 mile east of the "T" intersection (168th St and 237 Av). There were some patches of live and dead casuarina on either side of the road.
