There are at least two black-whiskered vireos calling every morning here at my hacienda in Homestead. I just returned from a 10-day, 129-mile solo canoe excursion in Everglades National Park and heard lots of them calling from the mangroves out there too, along with mangrove cuckoos, prairie warblers, and yellow warblers (Cuban race).
