West winds last night seemed to blow a lot of birds offshore and they came back in around noon today and fell out about the place at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park. Songbirds seen moving around the hammock the bike path goes through:

Black & white-8
Ovenbird-10
Prairie-2
Western palm-25
Magnolia-15
Hooded-2
Common yellowthroat-5
Northern parula-5
American redstart-20
Tennessee warbler-5
Black-throated blue-30+
Bay-breasted-6
Chestnut-sided-5
Worm-eating-2

Yellow-billed cuckoo-4
Scarlet tanager-1
Indigo bunting-5
Gray catbird-10
White-eyed vireo-1
Red-eyed vireo-3
Veery-1
Gray-cheeked thrush-2
Swainson’s thrush-10
Wood thrush-1

Lots of falcons in the air, too. In 20 minutes:

Sharp-shinned hawk-3
Merlin-8
Peregrine-3
Am. Kestrel-20
