I am not tired of hearing about the Downy in your yard. I am interested in the fact that it is not a migrant and a common resident in your yard.

Yesterday while driving by UM I saw a woodpaecker fly low onto a black olive. When I slowed to get a look at it, it was a Downy!

Is this your Downy? Is it a possible mate for your Downy? Is it possible that we may have an increasing number of Downys in our urban population? I sure would like to see them more frequently in my yard.
