Thanks very much for the information on locations to see painting buntings. After I typed "Miami area", I was concerned that would leave the wrong impression. Of course, I meant to say "south Florida".
We went to Castellow Hammock yesterday and, although we saw many birds, we didn't see any painted buntings. (Of course, we're not particularly expert birders).
We will check out Mary Krome Park in the next couple of days. And, Bertha, if we "strike out" there, we'll give you a call and look out your window! Thanks very much for your kind offer!!
