Something has troubled me ever since we saw the "Shiny Cowbird" at Cutler Wetlands. The color didn't seem right for either male or female. I know it's not one of the other two cowbirds, but it doesn't look like anything else, except maybe a juvenile male Red-winged Blackbird. The bill seems right for this species, although it looked smaller and the color isn't quite right for that either. Thoughts?
