The Virginia Key Great Black-Hawk (urubitinga race) put in an appearance this afternoon at 2:30 PM. It was perched on the west side of Arthur Lamb, Jr. Road, ~200 yards north of the "Y." During my 12 minutes of observation, it vocalized once with its staccato call, then later it gave 3 descending whines.
