The oriole was inches away from the kitchen window. I saw it grab two crab-like orb weavers right from thier webs. A few minutes later, it plucked a full-size giant swallowtail caterpillar from the wild lime! I didn't even know the cat. was there. There is still a really tiny one on the plant-for now! Last year the oriole raised at least 2 young around here- it probably has a nest nearby, since it's busy gathering insects. SW 11 terrace and 23 Ave in Miami.
