After a successful BioBlitz tour-of-duty, I decided to stop by and look for the grosbeak. Thankfully, I ran into Alex Harper (You da Man, Alex!) who had Brian Rapoza's and Toe's directions printed out. It took me almost an hour but the bird flew back into the ficus tree to feed, giving me great looks. It even vocalized! It said "Hey Jetty, you're now tied with Toe at 380 for Florida!".
Thanks again Brian for this great find and thanks Alex for turning the car around to help me with the bird.
Also, BioBlitz was a tremendous success. More news of that to come when we tally up total species.
