I got a late start at the cape this morning. I had to drop my daughter at school then spent an hour and twenty minutes in traffic before arriving.
By the time I arrive the temp was getting up there, but the birds were plentiful.
Redstart
Prairie
Palm
Parula
Cape May
Black and White
Black-throated Blue
Black-throated Green
Blackpoll
Northern Water Thrush
Common Yellow-throat
Ovenbird
Swainson's
Bobolink
I also believe I saw the La Sagra's at the intersection on the nature trail at the white gate on the wire. There were also a couple of Gray Kingbirds on the wire. The Myarchus only sat on the wire for a few seconds, just enough for me to see it's pale belly, no yellow... Still no photo and I wouldn't have been happy with the look if it would have been a lifer. But I saw enough to be confident and report the sighting.
