On Thur. we decided to try for 100 species in Palm Beach and Broward counties despite the slow migration. We ended up with 102 including 15 warblers. Sites visited included Green Cay, Wakodahatchee, Yamato Scrub, Woodmont Natural Area, Hampton Pines Park, Secret Woods, Evergreen Cemetery and Los Olas isles. Highlights:

Gannet: 60 off Pompano Beach
Swallow-tailed Kite: West end Loxahatchee Rd, Yamato Scrub
Smooth-billed Ani: 1 on steel crossbar, north of canal Old Griffin Rd
Magnolia Warbler: 2 males
Cape May Warbler: several places
Blackpoll: 80+ including 25 at Evergreen, 30 in Wilton Manors
Ovenbird: 12 Evergreen
Eastern Meadowlark: singing N of Loxahatchee Rd.; rare locally
Bobolink: 125 incl. 57 at Wako, 60 N. Lauderdale
