Was able to get a little birding in this morning at the park, which has been pretty slow lately. Park was again fairly slow but had some highlights. Only two warbler species - Blackpoll male (my 1st for year) and Ovenbird. As I was observing the Blackpoll I stepped back and tripped over what I thought was a rock. It turned out to be a Florida Box Turtle. My first at this park. Also had Common Nighthawk, Cedar Waxwings, Yellow-chevroned Parakeets, Gray Catbirds and a juvenile Broad-winged Hawk being bombarded by angry Blue Jays and a Mockingbird.
