It wasn t quite a fallout as the weather cleared this morning at Birch but the variety and numbers were the best I ve seen there this spring.
Warblers seen on 4/19/10 at H. T. Birch State Park:
Northern Parula - 2
Cape May Warbler - 4
Black-throated Blue Warbler - 4
Prairie Warbler - 20
Blackpoll Warbler - 3
Black-and-white Warbler - 3
American Redstart - 2
Worm-eating Warbler - 1
Common Yellowthroat - 3
Other non-resident birds:
Spotted Sandpiper - 2
Black-whiskered Vireo - 1
House Wren - 1
Gray Catbird - 13
Blue Grosbeak - 1
Indigo Bunting - 23
