Despite the rains, I was able to find along the nature trail path from No Name Harbor, a nice collection of warblers including Prothonotary, Blackpoll, Magnolia, Cape May, Ovenbird, Black-throated Blue, Prairie, Palm, American Redstart, Black & White, and Northern Parula, mostly in the fig trees. A brilliant male Baltimore Oriole was seen high in the canopy. Peregrine Falcon and Merlins were busy hunting. No Western Spindalis though. Shucks!
At Baptist Hospital Hill Myna were seen flying and roosting in a Royal Palm. They were also observed across the street off 89th Ave. Three Red-whiskered Bulbuls were seen flying together along the second street north of Kendall off of 89th Ave., resting on the wires flying back and forth across the street and back on wires. Two others were seen on the last street north on the wires by the canal. A Spot-breasted Oriole was seen flying just off the second street north of Kendall.
