The King Boyds and Roxanne Featherly birded ENP for their Birdathon. We met at Coe at 5:45 a.m. and were surrounded by the sounds of calling Chuck-will's-widows. Then off to the Black Rail spot but we met with no luck. However the Cape Sable Seaside Sparrows were cooperative. Back to Mahagony Hammock and from there proceeded slowly south to be in time for the Bar-tailed Godwit two hours before high tide. The Bear Lake trail was quite productive with a magnificent male Magnolia and other warblers. We waited for the godwit till 3:30 and only had 7 Marbled Godwits and a slew of Willets come in. Long Pine Key produced zilch but Anhinga Trail produced Paul Bithorn. On my way home, I had a Martin at Roberts, a Common Myna on the on-ramp to the turnpike, a Fish Crow and White-winged Dove at home. No parakeets to be found. I do have a singing Baltimore Oriole in my backyard. The list is below. (86)
