Birded AD Barnes from 8 to 9 AM. Spent about half that time under the boardwalk due to the rain. Not much bird activity was able to get:
Black-and-white Warbler (singing)
Prairie Warbler (female)
Black-throated Green Warbler (male)
Cedar Waxwings
Cardinals
White Ibis
DC Cormorant
I afterwards headed to Indian Hammocks Park and only added Blue Jays and White-crowned Pigeons.
Yesterday had 2 Chestnut-fronted Macaws flying over the Julia Tuttle Expressway heading to the Mt. Sinai area.
Red-whiskered Bulbuls are regular at about 5 PM at my brother's house near SW 102 Ave and 132 st. Seem to be attracted to the avocado tree.
Just got back from a trip to Los Tarrales in Guatemala. Owned by a fomer Miami resident, Andy Burge. Great host and superb place for birders with rarities like Horned Guan and Azure-rumped Warblers. Migrating birds were in great numbers and had lifers that I had missed in Florida like the Warbling Vireo, Wilson's, Nashville and Townsend's Warblers. The place is highly recommended for anyone interested in subtropical and cloud forest birding.
