I went early this morning before work to try and get a look a the Dickcissel and the Blue Grosbeak that Carlos reported the other day. It was a good morning with much to keep me busy. I saw just about everything Carlos mentioned except the Dickcissel.
I spent a lot of time looking around the mound area, but came up empty. I did see the Blue Grosbeak to use for Bird A Day and my "little year", not to be confused with Rocks "Big Year"...
This is a great spot. With all the rain recently everything is looking really green and many of the paths are already over grown.
