Birded Indian Hammocks yesterday morning from 8-10 AM. Bird numbers were not high and only saw individual Palm Warbler, Prairie Warbler and Northern Parula (in song). Cardinals were conspicuously calling but hard to see. Also had Gray Catbird, flock of Cedar Waxwings, a female Painted Bunting and a male Ruby-throated Hummingbird with the light hitting his throat beautifully. Overhead flocks of Yellow-chevroned Parakeets, Cattle Egrets, Ring-billed Gulls and a sole DC Cormorant. While birding was almost guillotined by a wild frisbee!
Later went to AD Barnes but only birded the hammock for 45 minutes. Too many guys in camouflage with paint guns running around. The area around the fountain was best and had Gray Catbird, Blue-headed Vireo, Palm Warblers, Prairie Warbler and male Black-throated Green Warbler all at once.
