My sister-in-law just called in the following from her backyard, on a canal in Biscayne Park:
Large bird, Muscovy-sized, honking like a goose.
Creamy light grey chest
Wings darker grey w/ a little brown
Black tail, pink legs
Small brown collar almost invisible in front, broader in back.
Back of neck "kind of salt and pepperish"; under chin white.
Black ring around eye, black iris, yellow eye.
Bill white with pink base; horizontal black line edging bottom of upper mandible (like a Snow Goose "grinning patch"); lower mandible black.
Any ideas? I certainly have none.
