Mary Lou and I came across this sandpiper in a flooded roadside ditch along unpaved Miramar Parkway/SW 196th Avenue in the "West Miramar ESL," which is the SE portion of the Broward County WCA in the SW corner of Miramar. Legs appreared greening yellow in life, and in flight its tail had barred white outer edges and there were no wing stripes. I presume it is not unusual here during migration (though not mentioned in Pranty), but would appreciate confirmation by someone more familiar with the species. More photos on FLICKR at the link in my blog.
