Although construction has put a big dent on the schools green footprint there are still other areas on campus where you can find great birds.
Since the construction started in front of the CP building and behind the Ryder building there has been less trees for birds to feed or perch in. Birds are very resourceful and move around to look for better foraging habitat and that seems to be the case here on campus.
Since the construction started we have observed some awesome birds right here on campus including Western Tanager, Canada, Golden-winged and Chestnut-sided Warbler, Blue Grosbeak, PABU and Indigo Bunting, Eastern & Gray Kingbird, Least Flycatcher, Swainson's Thrush, Mississippi Kite, Grasshopper Sparrow just to name a few highlights. Get out there and bird the birds are around just a little harder to find than before.
Nature is Awesome
