fyi, 1115 no shorebirds were in the area that the Godwit had been seen. Finally the shorebirds started arriving from the west about 1140. The Bar-tailed had arrived. Noon brought a heavy downpour and they moved off the beach onto the grass. Carlos arrived and he spotted the Godwit again but another heavy downpour ended our views as we took shelter. Dripping wet but happy.
