Today between 12:30-1:00 PM (High Tide), there was a single BAR-TAILED GODWIT (first spring) within a flock of 400-500 Willets, and 103 Marbled Godwits on the shore of Florida Bay at the walk-in campground at Flamingo in Everglades National Park.
The location was here (where the green arrow is):

I took many photos and some video. I didn't see the bird fly. Rafael Galvez was generous enough to let me check out the photos on his computer screen this evening and he concurs with the ID of a molting first-spring Bar-tailed Godwit.
Other sightings from the last couple of days down there included a male Shiny Cowbird (w/ Rafael Galvez) in a flock of Brown-headeds in the area of the main Flamingo parking lot on Friday (I couldn't find the flock after Friday afternoon), a Whimbrel on Friday evening at the Bar-tailed Godwit spot, 7+ Cape Sable Seaside Sparrows (visible) just south of Mahogany Hammock, and loads of Swallow-tailed Kites everywhere (including a one-scan count of 34 from Research Road on Saturday).
Good Birding,
-Doug Gochfeld.Brooklyn, NY.
