WOW... Nice find Toe!
I was there when he first saw the bird and he said the word Townsend's, but I thought he was just talking about birds seen here. He was leading a bird walk for the Native Plant Sale.
He didn't even know I was there. I looked for the bird for about an hour prior to Carlos showing up. I had the flock located and Carlos spotted the Townsend's quickly - Life Bird for him.
I got a few photos then Year of the Jetty Raul showed up and quickly found the bird as well. We showed the bird to several there who had no idea how much of a treat they were really experiencing.
Now for a Kirtland's.....
