Eva Matthews and I went to Matheson this morning at about 8:30, and heard and then the Brown-crested Flycatcher for almost 15 minutes. It was in the oaks, south of the bathrooms, then made its way westward a couple hundred feet. We also saw two Indigo Buntings.
We got to Bill Baggs at about 9:30 and birded around the La Sagra's spot for about 1 1/2 hours without luck on a visual. We're pretty sure though that we heard both the Great-crested and the La Sagra's at different times throughout our birding. Other birds of note here were Yellow-throated Vireo, White-crowned Pigeon, Hermit Thrush, and two Peregrine Falcons.
Cheers,
Andy Lantz
