I led my first bird walk at Deering yesterday and at the very end around 10 am we saw a group of about ten black-necked stilts on the little beach area to the north of the boat basin. They took off and were beautiful to watch in flight. Have also been seeing three wood storks flying over in the morning and around sunset heading out towards Key Biscayne. Saw the woodstorks flying over from the people's dock.
