Look at the neck and head area. There appears to be some whitish "flecking" going on with those feathers which, in my opinion, wouldn't be there if the bird were a "pure" Scarlet Ibis. Of course, I have very little real experience with these birds in the Tropics, so if anyone can chime in, please do so.
